Sure, romance shouldn’t be relegated to one “special” day of the year. But sometimes it's hard not to get caught up in the hype. Do you spend the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day agonizing over the perfect restaurant, the perfect gift, the perfect chocolate, the perfect rose bouquet? How stressed out does that make you and/or your partner? Does that “perfect night” actually strengthen your relationship and deepen your intimacy, or has it become somewhat performative?
